Citizens K, the Twin Brothers

With about 40 million inhabitants, Poland is one of the largest countries in Europe. Its shifting domestic politics and international stances weigh heavily on European debate, and have also served as a megaphone for all kinds of populist, nationalist and conservative movements. At the country’s helm is Lech Kaczyński, a fervent Catholic and staunch anti-communist.

Blending exclusive interviews with the Kaczyński twins, their mother and the president’s wife, together with testimony from journalists and Polish public figures, the film offers a biting, satirical snapshot of national populism in today’s Poland.
