Communication donnée en mai 2007 à l'école d'art Minshar de Tel-Aviv, à l'occasion d'un colloque consacré au livre d'Ariella Azoulay The Civil Contract of Photography. La même année, Azoulay présente à la galerie Minshar l'exposition « Act of State, 1967-2007 », qui retrace en photographies l'histoire de l'occupation israélienne des territoires palestiniens. Eyal Sivan y interroge ce qu'il nomme le « fondamentalisme citoyen visuel ».
